Presentation abstract

In the last few years, IoT hype has overwhelmed so many of us. We’re bombarded daily with aspirational messages, predictions and opportunities, such as billions of inter-connected devices, trillions of dollars of opportunity, robots, smart homes and factories.  But what is the reality of IoT today?  It’s time to talk past the hype and laser focus on how to move forward on the IoT journey.

IoT is real. Thousands of organizations already use IoT to optimize their operations, introduce new business models and create additional revenue streams. In this keynote, the speaker will get past the hype, spotlight end customer case studies and provide a practical framework for the technology providers to start on their IoT journeys.  He shares both the vision and the detailed roadmap, focusing on real business problems, partner ecosystems, cultural transformation and the integration of Operational and Information technologies.

Maciej Kranz, VP of Strategic Innovation at Cisco, an IoT pioneer and author of the New York Times Bestseller, “Building the Internet of Things,” will share successful use cases, common mistakes and practical best practices, including four “fast paths” for quick payback. You will learn about proven, practical steps needed to prepare, plan and implement IoT solutions in any industry.
